Automatic Gates Ltd offers a full range of small commercial to large high usage industrial automatic swing gate openers.  Utilising both the GBD range and the FAAC range, we have all the bases covered. All standard units are utilising 230v single phase power driving compact electro-hydraulic motor and pump units all contained within the drive unit body.  All units come with hydraulic locking in open and close position - with keyed manual release facility in the event of power failure. For low to medium usage sites we recommend the GBD model 290 unit and for extremely high usage situations on larger gates, we recommend the FAAC 400 unit. Both are outstanding in their fields. All our gate systems can be interfaced to communication systems and also support various access control devices such as card readers, vehicle sensors etc (see Accessories). Solid steel (non tubular) fully chromed drive shafts Fully enclosed drive shaft cover for added safety Controlled by fully expandable commercial grade logic electronics The standard Models 290 & 400 actuators will open gates up to an angle of approx. 120 degrees. For opening angles of more than 120 degrees, we would recommend a GBD Model 1000 Underground drive unit. (Contact us for more info on this unit) If you are having your gate manufactured by others - be sure to have stops installed for the open & closed positions. Contact us for a geometry layout diagram to ensure the optimum performance of drive units. The way a gate is hinged and hung on a post or pillar is critical! so be sure to contact us prior to commencing if you are building your own gate or having it built by others. Single swing gates Generally the more economical way to automate your vehicle entry - once again the Models 290 & 400 open the largest of gates with ease. In most cases we would recommend enhanced locking via the VIRO low voltage strike lock to take flex out of gate and hinges on larger gates.
